Shelter for bicycles

New educational lines and general activity growth at Alsion will increase the number of students and staff. We need to offer them a space to park their cars or bicycles. Cars need approximately ten times the space bicycles need.

We want to make using the bike to get to Alsion easier.

In a study, a team of two students investigated the needs of the users at Alsion and also conducted interviews to find out how to improve the situation for cyclists. You can listen to the survey results in our podcast:

Overall, we need more bicycle racks and, at the same time, racks that allow for various types of bikes to be secured. We can soon fulfil this wish for Alsion and have plans to continue.

New bicycle racks will arrive at Alsion in spring 2024!

They will offer more space for bicycles and also allow cargo bicycles to park safely. 

In a second step, we plan to change how cyclists enter the parking as they currently use the line for pedestrians.
